Mundgod DYSA lifts GCM cup 2015

MCLEOD GANJ, India, 10 June 2015

Mundgod DYSA (Doeguling Youth Sports Association) won the Gyalyum Chenmo Memorical (GCM) Gold Cup by 2-1 in the final against Pokhara Football Club played at the TCV School Grounds on Wednesday.

The play on both sides remained offensive, but no goals were scored until half-time.

Soon after the second half Mundgod scored their first goal. The game moved faster, Pokhara team started showing some aggression, but then came the second goal from Mundgod.

Pokhara was in trouble. They tried hard, and continued with good passes and fought hard for every ball, and finally managed to score one goal.

Soon after the long whistle was blown, Mundgod team came flying to lift the cup.

Sikyong Sangay, who was the chief guest, presented the cup to the winning team.

Lead by captain Tenzin Choezin, Mundgod DYSA team members ran around on the field boasting their win, as a few thousand witnessed the jubilant Mundgod on the last day of the GCM Football Tournament.
