Tibetan students demonstrate on Gemini flyover in Chennai

Fourteen Tibetan Students from Tibetan Children’s Village School Bylakuppe demonstrated on the Chennai’s landmark Gemini flyover and unfurled a banner reading ‘Free Tibet’ coinciding with the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics on Friday.

The students were asking for the world leaders to speak out against the Chinese suppression in Tibet.

The US Consulate and other major business houses and hotels are nearby the flyover.

Police arrested all the students, but they were released later in the night.
